FAQs

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol is a phytocannabinoid found in the Cannabis Sativa plant. There are two distinct strains of Cannabis Sativa: those grown for concentrations of CBD and industrial textile use (Hemp), and those grown for concentrations of THC (Marijuana). All Eclipse CBD products are made from hemp plants.

CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid and therefore does not produce any euphoric or psychoactive effects (a "High"). The concentrations of THC found in hemp products are strictly enforced through federal regulation, and frequently tested by 3rd party facilities to ensure that products are legal and non-psychoactive.

CBD is a compound with profound medical properties, and is safe for humans, as well as pets, to take regularly.

How much CBD should I take?

What is the best CBD dosage for you? The answer is it’s not a clear cut one but instead a general one that is determined by you. Some of the factors are your body size, physical condition, age and the severity of your symptoms.

The more severe your symptoms the more CBD you will likely need to get the desired effect. However, that isn't always the case because more doesn't always mean better. It's best to start with a small beginning dosage of approximately 20mg (for adults) taken every 4-6 hours as needed.

If the starting dose is not having the desired effect then gradually increase your dosage by 5-10mg until you reach your desired result. Absorption rates for CBD rely on myriad factors, there is a limit to bio-availability and taking too much will not produce a stronger effect. Our maximum recommended dosage is 50mg.

You should, of course, always consult your healthcare provider before using CBD products.

    Severity of symptoms:

Understanding a dose of CBD that is applicable to your symptoms includes the severity of the problem. If your condition is mild, you won't need a large dose of CBD as someone with severe symptoms.

    Individual using the CBD:

As with all medications size and body type will play a factor. Someone with a smaller size may require a lower dose for the same condition as someone who is larger. According to the World Health Organization, to date, there is no evidence of recreational use of CBD or Public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.

All of our products are manufactured from organically grown hemp harvested in the USA.

Where does our CBD come from?

Our CBD is sourced from hemp farms located solely in the United States, and extracted through the cleanest C02 and Ethanol extraction processes. Our CBD Tinctures are entirely Organic, Gluten Free, Vegan, and Keto friendly. One Milliliter is approximately 9 calories.

Will I fail a drug test if I take CBD?

While not all CBD products are without THC all of our CBD isolates are 100% THC free, and our Full Spectrum products are at or below the federally mandated 0.3% by dry weight. These are well below the minimum amount that will test positive at our recommended dosage. All of our CBD is batch tested by a 3rd party independent lab and are available by QR code on our box or by CLICKING HERE and selecting the batch code on your box.

    Is CBD legal?

Industrial Hemp was made legal by the federal government on Dec. 10 2018, but allows states to make its own local policies on allowed use and legality. Some states allow CBD products but only through a specific licensed store or dispensary, while others allow all products below the federal threshold, and some regulate it similar to medical marijuana. Check your specific state laws for legality state by state.

What is the difference between CBD isolate and Full Spectrum CBD?

Our Isolate is 99%+ Pure CBD. The plant matter is processed through a C02 extraction leaving no other residual plant matter or cannabinoids. This product is produced for those who want ZERO THC and other cannabinoids and are utilizing only the effects of CBD. Some people find Full Spectrum makes them drowsy or otherwise effects their focus and use this as a nighttime dose.

Our Full Spectrum contains the entire catalogue of cannabinoids from hemp, as well as all terpenes. The combination of CBD, CBA, CBG, CBN, CBC and terpenes produce what is called an entourage effect. While it has not been fully researched as to why cannabinoids are more effective when introduced to the body as a broad spectrum, the phenomenon is well cataloged and accepted amongst most researchers. This combination of cannabinoids is believed to be the most effective way of introducing these compounds into your system.

Do not take our PM product before operating a vehicle or other physical activities.

What Dosage of CBD Should I Give to My Dog?

Dosing CBD isn’t an exact science, and its important to find what works best for your dog’s needs. Always start small at the lowest dose and increase slowly until desired effect is reached. While adverse reactions and side-effects to CBD are rare, sometimes the carrier oil can cause an upset stomach in your dog if they take too much too soon. Use only our MCT based CBD for your dog.

In general, here’s the CBD dosing range we’d recommend for dogs:

    • 5 pounds: 0.5mg - 3mg
    • 10 pounds: 1mg - 5mg
    • 20 pounds: 2mg - 10mg
    • 30 pounds: 3mg - 15mg
    • 40 pounds: 4mg - 20mg
    • 50 - 60 pounds: 5mg - 25mg
    • 70 - 80 pounds: 7mg - 30mg

To be taken twice daily, once with breakfast and again at dinner.

Eclipse is not a medical or Veterinary Company and does not give medical advice.

Our VG/PG based CBD Tinctures are not intended for consumption by animals. Animals are far more sensitive to Propylene Glycol than humans, and should not be used.
